I am Christian

'All that is necessary for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing.'

The world is entering a critical phase of its history and it's happening before our very eyes. One of the symptoms of it is a growing hate towards Christians. The killings at Roseburg College, where an atheist executed defenseless Christians, have shattered the illusions that what we used to observe In Africa or the Middle East would never come to the West. We can't stay passive in these circumstances.

Our first responsibility, as Christ's disciples, is to increase our efforts in the missionary field, '.and so much the more, as you see the day approaching' (Hebrews 10:25). Yet we also have to put a stop to false leftist trends that have entered churches. Our enemy, the Devil, has persuaded many of us that a carefree attitude, pacifism, being uncritical, misunderstood charity or staying passive in the socio-political field should characterize good Christians. Such an image of Christianity puts reasonable people off and is an invitation to all kinds of madmen and terrorists to attack Christians. It's about time to change it.

As today's world is deeply influenced by social media, we're inviting you to join the #iamachristian action. Send your pictures (facebook.com/IamAChristianPL ) showing you holding a firearm or at least an airgun. Set the pictures as your profile ones, adding the address #jestemchrzescijaninem. Let as many people as possible get to know about the action. This will be a clear sign to the world that Christians, although loving their enemies and seeking peace with everyone, will defend themselves when necessary.

Remembering the heroic victims from Roseburg, whose the natural right to defend was taken away by the 'Gun-free zone' idea, acknowledge your Christianity publicly and show that you're not going to stay passive.

Jesus: '...and he that has no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.' (Luke 22:36)

Scandal! An attempt to call off a debate!

They want to cancel the debateAn exceptional science debate between creationists and evolutionists” under the title “Where did we come into being, as a coincidence or a project?” has been prepared for a few months. In a debate, scheduled for May 28, the following professors are to take part: Professor Andrew McIntosh, Engineering Department, Leeds University, Professor Stephen Taylor, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Department, University of Liverpool, Professor Michał Ginter, Geology Department, Warsaw University, Professor Konrad Talmont-Kamiński, Psychology Department, University of Finance and Management in Warsaw, Philosophy and Sociology Department, University of Marie-Curie Sklodowska in Lublin.

The debate has been prepared by academic students’ associations, a foundation and a students’ organization, all of whom took a great care to make sure that all standards necessary for such a debate will be met. For instance, the invited professors have a similar position in their respective academic circles, they have been informed well in advance and a venue at university was booked with the proper consent of the dean’s office.

Unfortunately, the UMCS authorities, whose students and PhD students are organizing the debate, have behaved in a way that is an affront to any sense of decency and academic fairness. Six days before the planned debate we received an official letter from Professor Kazimierz Trebacz, dean of the Biology and Biotechnology Department. In the letter he wants the debate to be called off claiming that… he had not been informed about it.

You can follow the goings-on concerning the debate on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/858432530897589/. We will keep you posted on the course of this embarrassing conflict. The creationist professors are coming to Lublin anyway but the question where to hold the debate is yet to be answered.

01. in the Almighty God who revealed Himself to mankind in three co-equal persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit;
02. in a revelation of His will in the Holy Scriptures (all the books in the Bible should be accepted, except for ones added to the Greek Old Testament by Roman Catholicism);
03. in the immutability, faultlessness and timeliness of contained in the Bible message, which cannot be changed;
04. in salvation, i.e. escape from sin's punishment, offered by Jesus as a free gift to all humanity as to the thief on the cross;
05. in mendacity of ecumenical movements and actions aiming at superficial unification of church and religion, with no care for truth.

We constitute a "relic" group of people which, without God's special care, could not continue its existence. We hope that further information, provided below, will assure you that our opinion is not exaggerated. Now, let's get down to brass tacks.

Who are we?
Testimonies of changed lives
Our doctrine
Moral issues
What about other religions?

The newspaper we publish is quite unusual. The name itself  - "go Against the Tide" - suggests that you will find in it views which come into direct conflict with widely promoted ideas and opinions. But most important, we wish to describe the reality not from the perspective of theology, dogmas or changeable church teachings but in accordance with God's Word, the Bible. What is more, we believe that God provided you with the ability to decide independently whether our conclusions are really based on the Holy Scriptures. God did not addressed the Bible to the caste of priests or professors of theolgy but wrote it as a letter and sent directly to you!

For many years, such concepts as "a christian" or "christian" have been greatly discredited in our homeland. This happened mainly "thanks to" a host of the religious Pharisees, so eagerly identifying themselves with these honorific titles. Our ambition is to contribute to restoring "a christian"  to its original meaning, which is "belonging to Christ".
